Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting cycle: bookkeeping, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end close
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards
  • Oversee tax accounting and ensure full compliance with Kyrgyz tax legislation (VAT, corporate income tax, payroll taxes)
  • Submit all required financial and tax reports to both parent companies
  • Liaise with and coordinate external tax and accounting advisory firms
  • Manage and develop the finance team (4–5 people): task allocation, quality control, professional development
  • Maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies
  • Support annual audits and regulatory inspections
  • Participate in budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial forecasting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of accounting: bookkeeping, financial statements, cost accounting
  • Deep understanding of Kyrgyz tax law, accounting standards (KSAS), and local regulatory requirements — mandatory
  • Experience managing a finance or accounting team
  • English proficiency (written and spoken) — required for reporting to parent companies

Nice to have

  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or duty-free / import-export business
  • Experience in a holding or dual-reporting corporate structure
  • Professional accounting certification (ACCA, DipIFR, or equivalent)
